Slovakia is a little country in the middle of Europe. Slovakia, my motherland, is beautiful. There are four seasons during a year. Slovakia is country of a good vine. There are about 5 million inhabitants in Slovakia. It isn’t very big, but it’s very nice. There are famous mountains called „High Tatras“, a lot of old castles, cages and a lot of sights under the UNESCO. It’s a pitty that we haven’t got sea. Popular sports in Slovakia are: football, ice-hockey, skiing and swimming. Slovakia is also famous of beer.

Prievidza

	We live in Prievidza. Prievidza is situated in the middle of Slovakia. It isn’t a big city, but it’s very nice. There are a lot of mountains around the town and they are very nice, especially in autumn. About 52 000 inhabitants live in Prievidza.
There are about nine elementary schools, in that town. There is a very nice square with interesting statues, houses and building in the centre of Prievidza.
	In the winter there is skating rink where people can skate. It’s super. Skiing is also popular activity in winter.
There is Bojnice- a small town which is near the Prievidza and it is famous of its castle.
